Those who work with young people draw from a range of disciplines to inform their work.  This series aims to make good a long-standing gap in provision for a set of texts that engage in a systematic, coherent and critical manner with the theoretical debates that most directly impact on professional practice. The books address changing understandings of the purpose and function of work with young people and the influence of organisations and policy in this work.
